Founded in 2021, Ignite Academy began as an in-person school but quickly recognized the opportunity to serve more students through a virtual platform. Our founder, a mother of children with specific learning needs who has home-schooled for over 13 years, discovered that non-traditional learning was essential for her own children. She realized that God was guiding her to address the needs of others as well.
Ignite Christian Academy Online is a virtual academy and resource learning center dedicated to supporting families with home education needs. We utilize advanced learning management systems to create individualized learning paths tailored to each student's academic requirements.
Our resource center collaborates with families who are homeschooling and need additional support for their children. This center serves as a hub for parents to ask questions and access specific resources such as curriculum guides, tutoring services, book clubs, and virtual social hang-outs.
As part of Ignite Learning Academy, our academy operates as a virtual school where students are placed on unique learning paths and work closely with our dedicated teachers throughout the school year. Students connect in our virtual classrooms, allowing teachers to observe and assist them during the school day.
All of our programs at Ignite Learning are integrated, accommodating students with disabilities and various learning needs. Since each student follows their own learning path, there is no pressure from peers who may be working on different grade levels or have different educational goals. Everyone finds their place and can express themselves freely in our programs. We do not utilize IEPs or 504s; instead, each student follows an individual learning plan with lessons tailored to their specific needs.
