At Ignite Learning Center, we believe in a student-centered approach to teaching and learning. Our teachers focus on individual student needs and interests, and use a variety of teaching methods to engage and challenge our students in our virtual learning classrooms. 

All of our teachers are highly qualified and experienced professionals. We utilize Acellus as our digital learning platform for our core curriculum. We utilize Google Classroom for our faith integration and supplemental instruction. Our curriculum meets state standards. 

All our schoolwork is homework. We are currently a virtual learning platform and students work at home. We believe parents need to be involved in every aspect of our students' learning. Students perform better when parents are actively involved in their child's daily learning. We establish weekly goals for each student at their own level. Students can check in with their grades daily. Students can work ahead to move forward with personal goals. Having the flexibility to take schoolwork on trips, and family vacations is important for families at ICA. 

The resource center is a place where families can sign their children up for organized clubs or specific learning programs. Rather than signing your child up for our academy, families can pay for one or two classes at a time. Book clubs are a place where students can fall in love with reading and do book studies. These are offered at every age. Follow us on our social media to find out when these clubs are offered. Social hang-outs are a place for students to get to know each other through pen-pals, or special interests groups a google meet is set up and students can join and meet others that are interested in the topic that is organized. Each program that is set up in the resource center is established on individual interest. If you are interested in seeing something offered through the resource center feel free to reach out through the comment page. We also offer tutoring in reading and mathematics. Educational consultations are also a service that is offered through the resource center. 

At the academy students are enrolled in a full course load with all core classes and electives based on their interests and academic needs. Students can log in to their courses any time of the day. Supplemental courses are posted to Google Classroom at 8:00 AM on school days. In our Google Classroom we include our Morning Meeting that starts with a devotional and a journal prompt that gets students ready for their day. We have DEAR TIME (drop everything and read) that has student spend 30min to an hour in a book of their choosing or one that is assigned by their teachers. Additional supplements are added to help students with specific academic needs. Our core curriculum is taught through Acellus. Acellus is a digit learning systems that has instructional videos and assignments that are differentiated throughout the program. Grades and progress can be accessed for each of our courses at any time. Goals are set by the teacher and can be changed at any time. Teachers work with parents and the students to meet the individual needs of each of our students.
